ONE SIZE DOESN'T FIT ALL

Tailor it to you: modular design enables you to choose from five frame styles, five battery sizes, four wheels sizes, three brake options, two handlebar displays and five glorious colours.
So you're sure it's right for you. We'll build your perfect bike.

As a cyclist, it’s important to set yourself realistic targets and achievable goals. When we’re out on a bike ride, one of the more achievable and enjoyable goals is anywhere serving delicious homemade cakes and a proper cuppa. We sense we’re not alone, and so we’ve compiled a list of 5 of our favourite local tea rooms for all our sweet-toothed kindred spirits (you know who you are) to plan a day’s route around.

Herbert’s Fine English Tea Rooms, Tissington

Now, in 2017, there’s a time and a place, of course, for high street chains where there are fifteen different words for “small”, the coffee comes quick and strong and a smile and eye contact are part of the production line - but there’s none of that here. You may not be able to get a hazelnut skinny soya milk latte at some of our picks, but you’re guaranteed a homely atmosphere, a decent quality brew, and warm, genuine Peak District hospitality. All are situated on or very close to one of the region’s cycle trails, and come complete with the official Juicy Electric Bikes seal of approval.

Herbert’s Fine English Tea Rooms, Tissington

Right in the heart of the chocolate-box village that gives its name to the trail, Herbert’s have made an art of the traditional English afternoon tea, serving their delicious homemade cakes and scones and loose leaf tea with vintage-style crockery. This is more than fine by us, and we love to top off a ride by kicking back in the afternoon sun with a cuppa in the outdoor area. Extended pinkie optional ;)

Chimes Cafe, Ashbourne

Chimes Cafe, Ashbourne, Derbyshire

Part tea room, part vintage clock museum, you’ll find Chimes just down from Ashbourne’s historic marketplace, on St. John Street. Take a virtual tour on their website or, better yet, come and sample their tasty treats as you reach the end of the Tissington Trail - or the start; it’s a steep climb out of Ashbourne itself, but this’ll present no problem with your electric bike’s trusty motor to aid you on your way!

The Old Smithy, Monyash

The Old Smithy, Monyash, Derbyshire

Housed, as the name suggests, within the village’s former blacksmith’s. Musical instruments, photographs, and the odd sombrero line the walls, giving the place a fun and quirky atmosphere. The food is just as enjoyable, and we’ve found taking our brew with a “Smithy’s breakfast” is the perfect way to begin a ride down the nearby trail.

Wetton Mill Tea Room, Wetton

Wetton Mill Tea Room, Wetton, Derbyshire

Wetton Mill is nestled just off the Manifold Way Cycle Trail, an 8 mile path that follows the river along the valley bottom. Less exposed than the more well-known cycle trails in the area, it still offers stunning scenery. The cafe itself is at the northern end of the trail, and a favourite pit stop for walkers and cyclists alike. We love its rustic, homely feel and spectacular views right outside!

The Tea Junction, Hulme End

The Tea Junction, Hulme End, Staffordshire

Situated by the former railway station, at the northern tip of the Manifold Trail, and the place where Alan Lamb famously met Alan the lamb (photos to prove it on their website). Cream teas are served daily, along with a wide selection of snacks to set you up for a day on the tracks.
